RCC has been accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU or the Commission), a regional accrediting agency within the scope of authority approved by the United States Department of Education since 1971. Regional accreditation is voluntary.
Courses and programs are approved by the Oregon Higher Education Coordinating Commission in concert with the Oregon Department of Community Colleges and Workforce Development. RCC is also approved as a veterans’ training institution by the Veterans Administration.
Current Affirmation: RCC's accreditation was last reaffirmed in 2013 on the basis of a fall 2012 Year One Evaluation Report. In addition the College received positive feedback from the Commission based on a 2014 Mid-Cycle Evaluation report and site visit.
Specialized Accreditation: A few of RCC's career and technical programs have been accredited by program-specific professional associations including Emergency Medical Services, Massage Therapy, and Nursing.
