Students can only receive financial aid from one institution for the same period of enrollment. When a student enrolls at more than one institution during an enrollment period, they can apply for financial aid at both institutions but may only accept financial aid through one institution (“HOME”).
RCC is an educational partner of Southern Oregon University (SOU). Students who plan to take one or more courses at both institutions during an academic term can apply for financial aid to be based on their concurrent enrollment. To apply, submit a Dual Enrollment Form by the first week of a term to allow for processing time prior to payment.
Students who plan to take at least one course at a non-SOU institution during the same academic term they are taking at least half-time courses at RCC can also apply for financial aid to be based on their concurrent enrollment. To apply, submit a Non-SOU Consortium Agreement by the first week of a term to allow for processing time prior to payment.
Steps to follow each term you are dual-enrolled:
- Complete and sign the Dual Enrollment Form [PDF] (for SOU) or the Financial Aid Consortium Agreement [PDF] (for another institution) and if it appears you're eligible for RCC to be your HOME institution, return it to the RCC Financial Aid Office (Rogue Central Services).
- Complete the transfer Course Evaluation Request Form. Make sure to attach all necessary documents. Once complete, you will return this form to RCC's Admissions & Records Office.
When returning your forms, you can either mail or fax them to the addresses as listed below:
Financial Aid Office
Rogue Community College
3345 Redwood Highway
Grants Pass, OR 97527
Fax: 541- 471-3532
NOTE FOR CONSORTIUM STUDENTS: YOU MUST BE TAKING AT LEAST 6 CREDITS FROM RCC DURING THE TERM FOR WHICH YOU ARE DUAL-ENROLLED. In addition, your financial aid funds will be held until the Financial Aid Office has received the approved Transfer Course Evaluation Request Form from the Admissions & Records Office. This process will take approximately 1-2 weeks.
