FireHouse Gallery

Artwork by local, regional, national, and international emerging artists which challenges preconceived ideas and attitudes, is featured in RCC's FireHouse Gallery.  A variety of art educates and inspires viewers from the college and community.  First Friday Art Night receptions are held monthly at the gallery.

The gallery is located at the corner of H and Fourth Streets in the Historic City Hall, Grants Pass, Oregon.  Our hours are Tuesday - Friday, 11:30am to 4:30pm, or tours by appointment.

Andrade

Dates: January 10 - February 24, 2017

Title: Point of View

Description: A retrospective exhibit that spans Andrade's 30 years as an abstract artist. The display will include a sampling from each of her 10 series that have evolved from the experiences and circumstances of her life.

Title: Freya's Vortex of Expectations

Description: The "Vortex" is an installation composed of assemblage sculpture, made from mostly clothing and shoes. The objects and sculptures relate to a stream of conscious association with mythology and consumerism.

Description: Narrative fragments that are connected in the seemingly nonsensical logic that we experience in dreams. The work is informed by psychoanalytic theory, symbolist poetry, and absurdist humor.
