Preliminary Tests Show No Lead in Other Fountains

Rogue Community College received additional preliminary results for water tested in buildings B, C, and G on the Riverside Campus in Medford, Oregon, and they all showed that levels of lead or copper were below EPA action levels and considered safe to drink. Facilities has removed the warning signs from those buildings and returned all fountains to use.

Preliminary Tests Show Lead in One Water Fountain on RCC Riverside Campus in Medford

Preliminary results of water tests done in Building A on the Rogue Community College (RCC) Riverside campus in Medford indicated lead and copper levels in excess of EPA limits in one drinking fountain. 

The tests were prompted when an employee reported cloudy water in the fountain in late August. "Out of concern for everyone's safety, the fountain was immediately closed and the tests ordered," said Grant Walker, public information for RCC.
