Meyer Memorial Trust Donates $250,000 to RCC

Rogue Community College (RCC) has been awarded $250,000 by the Meyer Memorial Trust of the Oregon Community Foundation to purchase up-to-date industry-grade equipment items for the upcoming High Technology Center at the Table Rock Campus (TRC) in White City.

The equipment will support training and education in manufacturing and engineering technology and welding technology. The High Technology Center will be located at 7932 Pacific Ave, White City, Oregon next door to TRC in a facility to be renovated this year with plans to open in the winter of 2017/18. Project information is available for review at 7800 Pacific Ave, Room 159, or call 541-245-7907 or 541-245-7904.

The Meyer Memorial Trust grant also provided important matching funds for other project grants. The new facility will serve students in career technical education programs, retraining for current workers, targeted training for businesses, and prototype development initiatives with entrepreneurs.
