RCC Expands 2018 Excel Essentials Schedule

Excel LogoAdvance your Microsoft Excel user skills with four levels of Excel Essentials classes offered through the Rogue Community College (RCC) Workforce Training department.

Striving to meet the high demand for these classes, we now offer two sessions of Level I and Level II classes every term. Excel Essentials Levels I – IV have something for all types of users, beginners through advanced. These courses do not need to be taken in order, so if you have some Excel knowledge you can start at Level II. The cost is $99 for each level.

RCC Foundation Annual Scholarship Process Open

The application period opens today, Jan. 4.

Students in the RCC Dental Assistant program need your help fulfilling their radiology lab requirement. They need to take sets of full mouth X-rays as practice for their clinical examinations between Jan. 8 and Mar. 23, 2018 on RCC's Riverside campus in Medford.

A full-mouth set of X-rays can cost a patient over $150 in a dental office.

Also discussing bond projects and revised non-discrimination Board policy.

Starting 2018, RCC Riverside Campus Library will sell RVTD Term Bus Passes

Starting 2018, RCC Riverside Campus Library will sell RVTD Term Bus PassesThe Rogue Community College (RCC) and Rogue Valley Transit District (RVTD) Bus Pass Program will start using RVTD’s TouchPass program, an e-fare “smart card” system. Beginning Jan. 2, 2018, bus pass sales will move to the RCC Riverside Campus Library. Student bus passes will no longer be sold at the Front Street Station.

RCC students will be able to receive their TouchPass Card and purchase their term-long bus pass for $15 from RCC’s Riverside Campus Library, located on the second floor of the Medford Branch Library, 205 S. Central Ave. from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday.

RCC Dental Assistant Program to Host Info Session

MEDFORD -- Are you interested in earning a good living with benefits as a dental assistant? The Rogue Community College Dental Assistant program is hosting two information sessions where participants can learn about the one-year certificate program for this high-demand career.

The information sessions will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, and 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018 on the Riverside Campus, A Building, Room 21, 202 S. Riverside Ave. in Medford.

Illinois Valley Chorus to Give Concert of Thanks

CAVE JUNCTION -- The Rogue Community College Illinois Valley Chorus invites the public to pause for a moment of thankfulness and a free concert in Cave Junction on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017.

The chorus will perform “Giving Thanks: Songs of Gratitude and Community” featuring compositions by Johannes Brahms, Paul Simon, Josh Groban and a Navajo prayer. The audience will be invited to open the concert with the chorus by singing a well-known tune, “Morning has Broken.”

Public Invited to Free Christmas Concert

GRANTS PASS -- Rogue Community Chorus and Rogue Singers invite the public to celebrate the holiday season with “Christmas Around the World,” a free concert including a traditional Christmas carol singalong. The performance will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 in the Rogue Auditorium on the Rogue Community College Redwood Campus, 3345 Redwood Highway in Grants Pass.
