RCC Offers Four New Health Occupations Training Programs

Find Your Path Through Individualized Career Training

Not every job requires a specific certification or course of study. At Rogue Community College (RCC) the Individualized Career Training (ICT) department helps many people get into great jobs through custom built training. 

Rogue Community College is offering a free information session for anyone interested in learning about skills training. The meeting will be July 20 from 1 to 2 p.m. in Building Z, Room Z-1 on the RCC Redwood Campus at 3345 Redwood Highway, Grants Pass, Oregon. 

RCC Awarded $190,957 Grant to Increase Degree and Certificate Completion Rates

Rogue Community College (RCC) received a $190,957 grant award from the Oregon Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HECC) to establish a program to increase completion rates for under-served, minority, low-income, first-generation, college-bound students.

Sing this Summer with the RCC Redwood Community Chorus

The Rogue Community College (RCC) Redwood Community Chorus invites all singers high school age and older to join the chorus for a summer of singing.

Joining is easy; just come to a rehearsal and register.  There is no fee unless the student wishes to enroll  online for college credit.

"Our theme this summer is 'Singer-Songwriters'," said Deborah Pratt, director of the chorus. "We will be singing the music of John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot, Carole King, and James Taylor. It's going to be a really fun summer of singing...come join us!"

$5,000 Grant from State Farm to Assist Students in RCC High School Driver Training

Rogue Community College (RCC) recently received a $5,000 grant award from State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company (State Farm) to assist with the cost of high school driver training.

Students with HigherOne Accounts to See Changes in Cards, Features

Customers Band acquired HigherOne on June 16, 2016, which brings many positive features to all college students, including Rogue Community College, with HigherOne accounts. 

BankMobile Disbursements, a division of Customers Bank will now be handling all refunds for students.  All OneAccount accounts are now BankMobile Vibe accounts serviced by BankMobile. 

Students that already have a MyOneMoney card may continue to use it until it expires. All new or reissued cards will have the BankMobile Vibe name.

Rogue Community College Seeking AmeriCorps Applicants

Rogue Community College (RCC) Career Services is seeking an AmeriCorps Volunteer who is creative, fun, and wants to help students improve application materials, soft skills, and interviewing. 

Benefits of service, subject to eligibility, include a monthly living stipend, AmeriCorps education award, basic health care coverage, loan forbearance, and childcare assistance. The position will be at the RCC Redwood Campus in Grants Pass, Oregon.

RCC Employees Chosen for Oregon Institute of Leadership Development

Amy Durst and Sierra Huggins of Rogue Community College (RCC) have been chosen to participate in the Oregon Institute for Leadership Development (OILD), a state program for faculty, staff and administrators in Oregon’s community colleges interested in leadership, personal, and professional growth.

RCC Awarded $219,000 Grant for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Innovation Summer Camps

Rogue Community College (RCC) has recently acquired a $219,000 Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Innovation Project grant from the Higher Education Coordinating Commission. An exciting result of this grant will be 10 free STEM camps this summer for seventh through ninth grade students.

Rogue Community College Honors Class of 2016 at 45th Commencement

Rogue Community College (RCC) students gathered with their families and friends in the outdoor amphitheater of Rogue Community College for the 2016 commencement ceremony on Saturday, June 11. It was the 45th commencement of RCC.
