RCC Seeks Input on Proposed Nursing Program Move

RCC Seeks Input on Proposed Nursing Program MoveTwo open forums have been scheduled for gathering input from all stakeholders discussing factors in RCC considering moving the Associate Degree in Nursing program from the Redwood Campus in Grants Pass to the Table Rock Campus in White City. This move would put the nursing program in the same location as other health care programs in a new health occupations training building planned on the TRC campus.

  • Josephine County: Wed., Feb. 7, 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Rogue Auditorium, RCC Redwood Campus, 3345 Redwood Hwy., Grants Pass.
  • Jackson County: Thur., Feb. 15, 3:30 to 5 p.m. at RCC Table Rock Campus, Room 184, 7800 Pacific Ave., White City.
  • Driver Education Instructor Certification Offered at RCC

    The Rogue Community College (RCC) Driver Education department is looking for adults who have a passion for helping keep our community safe while teaching new drivers to be safe drivers.

    Driver Education Instructor Certification course runs Saturdays and Sunday, Feb. 24 through May 6, at TRC in White City. For Oregon residents, tuition is funded by a grant from ODOT-TSD, so Oregon participants are responsible for paying a materials fee of $95.

    RCC Foundation Welcomes Two New Directors

    Rogue Community College FoundationThe Rogue Community College (RCC) Foundation is pleased to announce the addition of two new directors to its governing board. Laura Magstadt and Jennifer Krauss Phillippi were appointed in fall 2017 and will join the board at today's meeting. The appointments are for three-year terms that run through June 2020.

    Rogue Community College Board of Education Meeting Changes Rooms for Public Comment

    Rogue Community College Board of Education The January 23, 2018, Rogue Community College Board of Education meeting room location has been changed from Table Rock Campus (TRC) Room 206 to Room 184 (TRC-184). This is to ensure space for public comment regarding Board discussion of the possibility of moving the RCC nursing program from the Redwood Campus in Grants Pass to Table Rock Campus in White City.  

    The public comments portion of the meeting will be open for staff, faculty, and the community to provide input. In the near future, RCC will provide public forums for further discussion on the topic of the nursing program. 

    Ospreys and Black Tornado Star Signs with Oregon Tech

    Medford – Rogue Community College Ospreys and former North Medford Black Tornado star Haley Janky has committed to Oregon Tech’s women’s soccer program for the fall 2018 season.

    Following a high school playing career at North Medford, Janky committed to joining an Ospreys program that was beginning its second year of Northwest Athletic Conference play. In her two years, Janky started every game, earned both All-Region and All-Star honors, carried a full course load, maintained a 3.6 GPA. She will graduate this spring with her associate degree.

    Dental Assistant Information Sessions at RCC

    RCC’s Allied Health Occupations Department, Dental Assistant program staff will be hosting three information sessions about the College’s one-year dental assistant certificate program held on Riverside Campus, A Building, Room 21, at 202 S. Riverside Avenue, Medford.

    Rogue Community College Welcomes Interim VP of Instruction

    Rogue Community College (RCC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Joann E. Linville as the new Interim Vice President for the Instructional Services Division. Linville started in her new role on Wednesday, January 17.

    Linville brings over 38 years of community and technical college experience to RCC.

    RCC Breaks Ground on $4.2 Million Career Technical Training Center

    High Technology Center artist renditionWHITE CITY--Rogue Community College (RCC) broke ground today on a new $4.2 million RCC Career Technical Training Center in White City, Oregon. RCC President Cathy Kemper-Pelle, RCC leadership, members of the RCC Board of Education, community leaders, and supporters were present.

    The center expands the RCC Table Rock Campus with a renovation of an 11,800-square-foot building adjacent to the campus, creating much-needed space for new and existing programs and improving hands-on learning lab experience for students, helping them on their paths to great careers.
