Beginning Tap Dance at RCC

Grants Pass — The Rogue Community College (RCC) Community Education department is offering tap dance lessons for beginners on Thursdays, Jan. 18 through March 22, 2018, from 6 - 6:50 p.m. at the Redwood Campus, Rogue Auditorium, 3343 Redwood Hwy, Grants Pass.

This class is for beginners who have never taken a tap class or if the student had less than 6-months of lessons as a child as it covers basic level techniques including toe-heel, shuffles, slaps, flaps, cramp rolls, shuffle ball change, and a combination of these basic steps will be incorporated into a fun warm-up and dance routine. On March 22, the last day of class, we hold an optional performance, where students have the option to perform for their family and friends.

RCC President Cathy Kemper-Pelle, RCC leadership, members of the RCC Board of Education, and other dignitaries will be present for a groundbreaking ceremony at the new Technical Training Center next door to the Table Rock Campus in White City, Oregon.

Free Massage Therapy Information Meeting at RCC

RCC Massage TherapyConsidering a career in massage therapy? The Rogue Community College (RCC) Massage Therapy program invites you to attend an information meeting to learn about the program as well as local employment opportunities, including wage ranges.

Two sessions are planned from 5:30-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22 and Monday, Feb. 26. Both sessions will be held in the M Building, room 1, on the RCC Redwood Campus at 3345 Redwood Highway in Grants Pass.

RCC Expands 2018 Excel Essentials Schedule

Excel LogoAdvance your Microsoft Excel user skills with four levels of Excel Essentials classes offered through the Rogue Community College (RCC) Workforce Training department.

Striving to meet the high demand for these classes, we now offer two sessions of Level I and Level II classes every term. Excel Essentials Levels I – IV have something for all types of users, beginners through advanced. These courses do not need to be taken in order, so if you have some Excel knowledge you can start at Level II. The cost is $99 for each level.

RCC Foundation Annual Scholarship Process Open

The application period opens today, Jan. 4.

RCC Offers Free Dental X-rays, Jan. 8-Mar. 23Medford — Do you or someone you know need dental X-rays? Students in the RCC Dental Assistant program need your help fulfilling their radiology lab requirement. They need to take sets of full mouth X-rays as practice for their clinical examinations between Jan. 8 and Mar. 23, 2018 on RCC's Riverside campus in Medford.

A full-mouth set of X-rays can cost a patient over $150 in a dental office.

RCC Board to Hold Special Board Meeting

RCC Board to Hold Special Board MeetingWhite City — The Rogue Community College (RCC) Board of Education (Board) will hold a special Board meeting Thur., Dec. 7, 2017, at 2 p.m. in room TRC-206 on the Table Rock Campus, 7800 Pacific Avenue, White City, Oregon to brainstorm sustainability ideas and design strategies for the RCC Health Professions building. Also discussing bond projects and revised non-discrimination Board policy.

Starting 2018, RCC Riverside Campus Library will sell RVTD Term Bus Passes

The Rogue Community College (RCC) and Rogue Valley Transit District (RVTD) Bus Pass Program will start using RVTD’s TouchPass program, an e-fare “smart card” system. Beginning Jan. 2, 2018, bus pass sales will move to the RCC Riverside Campus Library. Student bus passes will no longer be sold at the Front Street Station.

RCC students will be able to receive their TouchPass Card and purchase their term-long bus pass for $15 from RCC’s Riverside Campus Library, located on the second floor of the Medford Branch Library, 205 S. Central Ave. from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday.

Free Public Jazz Concert

MEDFORD--The public is invited to enhance your holiday season with a free, live musical performance by the Rogue Community College (RCC) Jazz Ensemble Concert, Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017.

The concert will be held at 7 p.m. at the RCC Performance Hall on the Riverside Campus, Building C, Room 109 at 130 East 8th Street, Medford.
