RCC Dental Assistant Program to Host Info Session

MEDFORD -- Are you interested in earning a good living with benefits as a dental assistant? The Rogue Community College Dental Assistant program is hosting two information sessions where participants can learn about the one-year certificate program for this high-demand career.

The information sessions will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, and 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018 on the Riverside Campus, A Building, Room 21, 202 S. Riverside Ave. in Medford.

Illinois Valley Chorus to Give Concert of Thanks

CAVE JUNCTION -- The Rogue Community College Illinois Valley Chorus invites the public to pause for a moment of thankfulness and a free concert in Cave Junction on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017.

The chorus will perform “Giving Thanks: Songs of Gratitude and Community” featuring compositions by Johannes Brahms, Paul Simon, Josh Groban and a Navajo prayer. The audience will be invited to open the concert with the chorus by singing a well-known tune, “Morning has Broken.”

Public Invited to Free Christmas Concert

GRANTS PASS -- Rogue Community Chorus and Rogue Singers invite the public to celebrate the holiday season with “Christmas Around the World,” a free concert including a traditional Christmas carol singalong. The performance will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 in the Rogue Auditorium on the Rogue Community College Redwood Campus, 3345 Redwood Highway in Grants Pass.

RCC Winter Term Registration Opens Nov. 20

Registration for winter term classes at Rogue Community College begins Nov. 20 for continuing students and Nov. 28 for new students. Winter classes start Jan. 8, 2018.

Students can register online at or by visiting Rogue Central offices at the Redwood Campus in Grants Pass, Riverside Campus in Medford or Table Rock Campus in White City. Note that all campuses will be closed Nov. 23-24 and Dec. 21 through Jan. 1.

Public Invited to Free Strings Concert Nov. 27

Rogue Community College Strings invites the public to a free concert Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the RCC Music Building C in Medford, 130 E. 8th Street (corner of 8th and Front streets). The concert will include selections from "The Theme from Schindler's List," "Scheherazade" and "Oblivion" featuring instructor Gary Kroll as violin soloist and conductor. Other selections include the favorite "Adagio for Strings" plus a selection of fiddle tunes.

Free admission.

Learn about RCC’s Medical Coding Specialist Program

Now is a great time to enter a career in health care. The Rogue Community College (RCC) Allied Health Occupations department invites current and potential students to take the first step in determining whether the medical coding specialist program is the right educational path for them by attending a free, 1-hour informational meeting at RCC’s Riverside Campus, Building A, Room A-11 at 202 S Riverside Ave., Medford on:

  • Nov. 30, 2017 from 12-noon to 1 p.m.
  • Dec. 13, 2017 from 4 – 5 p.m.

Registration is not required.

Latino Students to Explore “A World of Opportunities” on Nov. 17

EMO event for latino students at RCCLatino students who are juniors or seniors in high school are invited to explore career training and education opportunities at a free one-day conference Friday, Nov. 17 at Rogue Community College.
