Determine if RCC’s Human Services Program is on Your Path

What are some human services career options? Discover if these careers match your goals when you attend a free human services program information session from 5-7 p.m. at the RCC/SOU Higher Education Center, Room HEC-222 at 101 S. Bartlett St. in Medford on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, May 30.
  • Tuesday, June 6.

The application deadline for the 2017/18 cohort for the Human Services program at Rogue Community College (RCC) has been extended to August 5, 2017, at 5 p.m.

RCC Hosts Invisible Disabilities Awareness Event

This meet-and-greet event is encouraging visitors to learn more about invisible disabilities as well as the services and support provided by the RCC Disability Services department and RCC staff. There will be “Invisible No More!” nametags provided for visitors to write down both names and their disabilities to help further awareness throughout the day. Come voice your suggestions and concerns for students with disabilities on campus. There will also be various student and guest speakers who will discuss their experiences as, or caring for, someone with disabilities in our society.

RCC President Kemper-Pelle Gets Thumbs up from Board

Rogue Community College President, Cathy Kemper-Pelle, Ph.D. GRANTS PASS, Ore.--The Rogue Community College (RCC) Board of Education gave high marks to the new RCC president, Cathy Kemper-Pelle in her first evaluation since joining the college in 2016.

In a letter from Board member Kevin Talbert to Kemper-Pelle in April, he said the Board was very pleased with her progress to date and gave her high marks for energy, direction, and leadership.

The Rogue Community College (RCC) Illinois Valley Chorus, under the direction of Kate Campbell, has been invited to bring music to celebrate the reopening of the Chateau, as well as Mother’s Day.

Songs from this year’s eclectic repertoire will be presented in the main lobby. “I am pleased to include a segment of soloists and duos performing Broadway show tunes. Something for everyone,” said Kate Campbell. The Chorus is excited to continue to its tradition of honoring mothers on their special day.

Petersen Named RCC Foundation Alum of the Year

Dan Petersen Fire CaptainThe Rogue Community College (RCC) Foundation is pleased to announce its 2017 Alum of the Year, Dan Petersen, who will be honored at the RCC Foundation President's Circle event on July 13, 2017, at RoxyAnn Winery in Medford, Oregon.

“Dan Petersen’s leadership, as a Fire Captain, his ‘can do’ attitude, sense of collaboration and fairness are inspirational," said Anne Golden, who nominated Petersen. "I cannot think of another individual who has carried the banner of RCC with such impact and gratitude.”

Become a Hero. Donate Blood for Red Cross Blood in Medford

Medford area residents are invited to become heroes by donating blood at the American Red Cross blood drive on May 9, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Riverside campus Medford Library at 205 S. Central Ave. in Medford, Oregon; hosted by the Associated Student Government of Rogue Community College (ASGRCC) and Logos Public Charter School.

RCC Safety and Wellness Fair offers Variety and Fun

The Rogue Community College (RCC) Health and Wellness Committee presents the 2017 RCC Safety and Wellness Fair Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Redwood campus Student Center at 3345 Redwood Hwy. in Grants Pass, Oregon.

RCC employees and students are invited to this fun and educational event providing activities and resources for stress relief and wellness. Get information on stress management, safety, and other topics.

RCC’s May Closure Dates

Inservice The College will be CLOSED Friday, May 5, 2017 for a staff inservice.On Friday May 5, 2017, Rogue Community College (RCC) will be closed for a staff in-service. The college will reopen on Monday, May 8.
