RCC Breaks Ground on $4.2 Million Technical Training Center at Table Rock Campus

High Technology Center artist renditionMedia are invited to the groundbreaking and tour of the Rogue Community College (RCC) Technical Training Center project.

Where: 7932 Pacific Ave., White City, Oregon.
When: Tuesday, January 16 at 11:30 a.m.

RCC President Cathy Kemper-Pelle, RCC leadership, members of the RCC Board of Education, and other dignitaries will be present for a groundbreaking ceremony at the new Technical Training Center next door to the Table Rock Campus in White City, Oregon.

The center expands Table Rock Campus with a renovation of an existing 11,800-square-foot building adjacent to the campus that will greatly enhance instruction for students, helping them toward great careers.

When finished, the facility will be a 15,583-square-foot learning center featuring the newest technologies. It will be home to several career technical programs including manufacturing, mechatronics and welding. There will also be a "makerspace" that will facilitate collaborative project-based learning for students, community and business partners.

The $4.2 million project is funded by the $20 million bond approved by voters in 2016, with $1.2 million coming from a U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) grant.

The contractor for the project is Adroit Construction and building design is by Kistler, Small and White Architects.
