RCC Welcomes Recent Latino High School Graduates in Transition to College at 5-Day Event in September

Rogue Community College (RCC) is offering a free, fun, 5-day summer course event for Latino students interested in taking classes at RCC this fall, starting September 25.

The annual summer Helping Oregon Latino’s Advance (HOLA) bridge program is scheduled September 11-15, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., and is welcoming recent Latino high school grads (2015-2017) who are planning to enroll at RCC in fall 2017.

The weeklong course (CG147 R1) focuses on getting students Rogue Ready. Students can earn one college credit for completing the course event and students will have an opportunity to receive an RCC scholarship. In order to participate, students need to complete the RCC admission process and take the placement test.

Students will map out their major and classes, discover ways to get money for college, tour the campuses, learn about college services and make new friends. Participants will get free lunch, snacks, and college gear. Transportation across county lines will be provided.
