Redwood Community Choir Concert March 18
The Rogue Community College (RCC) Redwood Community Chorus invites you to enjoy traditional American songs and old-time music on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at 3 p.m. on the RCC Redwood Campus at 3345 Redwood Highway, Grants Pass in the Rogue Auditorium.
The Redwood Community Choir consists of students who enrolled in the RCC Music course MUS 220 under the direction of RCC faculty member Deborah Pratt. Go back in time with them for a couple of hours of music from America's past. They will be joined by the Rogue Singers, the Grants Pass Children's Choir, and the Silver Strings in spirited performances of songs including Aaron Copland’s "Stomp Your Foot," and traditional songs like "Shenandoah," "Home on the Range," "I Bought Me A Cat," "All the Pretty Little Horses," "The Old Chisholm Trail," "Button Up Your Overcoat," and "When You're Smiling." The Silver Strings will provide some lively old-time fiddling music as well.
"We will end with a few sing-along songs," says Deborah, "but you might find yourself humming along for most of the concert!
