The Smullin Foundation Grants $150,000 to Boost its Existing RCC Foundation Endowment
The Rogue Community College (RCC) Foundation is pleased to announce the Patricia D. & William B. Smullin Foundation recently donated a $150,000 grant to its existing generous endowment to support RCC students who have an entrepreneurial spirit.
William (Bill) Smullin was an entrepreneur who believed strongly in his country, in free enterprise, and in being an active member of his communities as an individual and as a business. The Smullin legacy in Northern California and Southern Oregon is one of strong civic leadership, community development, and a commitment to free enterprise. The Smullins were highly respected for their vision, determination, and ingenuity.
The Patricia D. & William B. Smullin Foundation seeks to help educate the citizens of Northern California and Southern Oregon through their gifts to higher education.
Through the endowment, two RCC students—one male and one female--receive awards each year, covering approximately 80 percent of each student’s tuition.
The RCC Foundation Smullin Foundation endowed scholarship is one of six college scholarship programs created by William B. Smullin in Oregon and California.
