Building Evacuation Procedure for Individuals with Mobility Challenges, Low Vision or Hard of Hearing

Ground Level Floors - RCC staff and faculty will guide students and staff who use mobility devices out of the building to proceed to the designated reassembly area.  If safely able to do so, RCC staff and faculty are to help ensure that people go directly to the predetermined reassembly areas in a prompt and orderly fashion.

Upper Floors - Individuals who use mobility devices should not be evacuated from non-ground floors by untrained personnel.  When safely able to do so, the individual with the mobility impairment should be advised to proceed to the nearest evacuation area, located near stairwells on non-ground level floors at the below locations:

  • TRC-A – 2nd Floor

  • TRC-C (HPC) 2nd Floor

  •  RVC-HEC – 2nd and 3rd Floors
