Procedure: COLLEGE SPONSORED ARTISTIC EXPRESSION (AP-004)
Contact: Art Galleries, Ext. 7339

The college recognizes the value of student artistic expression. (Student Rights, Freedoms, and Responsibilities).

Art Exhibits

The College offers several spaces for students to exhibit their art work.  Locations of art exhibits are determined by the college.

These spaces and/or events are primarily for RCC students to exhibit their work.  These exhibits are unique and offer students an opportunity to learn the mechanics of preparing for an exhibit as well as installation and promotion.   Non-art students may also exhibit with specific approval.

Application Process:

A member of the art faculty and the gallery curator will review the actual artwork proposed for exhibit unless the exhibit is class work only.  The pieces are judged on the following criteria:  1) artistic achievement, 2) originality, and 3) consistency with a gallery and/or show’s theme.

The College reserves the right to review applications to determine how to address potential controversy without limiting freedom of expression.

To make an appointment for review, please call the galleries at 541-956-7339 or the Art Department at 541-956-7490.

Performance Art

Application Process:

The college reserves the right to make a decision on a case-by-case basis.
