Arismendi was born in Michoacán, Mexico and immigrated to the United States at the age of three, and has lived in Southern Oregon for the last 20 years. She earned a B.S. in Health and Physical Education from Southern Oregon University.

Before joining RCC, she was the College Advisor at Phoenix High School for a year, where she learned the key steps that high school students need in order to attend post-secondary education. In 2019, she also interned for TRiO and worked specifically with students planning to attend RCC after high school. For the last six years, Arismendi has been a part of SOU Youth Programs, Academia Latina as a Senior Counselor. Through the program, her passion for helping underrepresented Latinx youth began. Now, in the Latinx Outreach & Recruitment position, she can focus on helping Latinx achieve their full potential.
Arismendi loves to spend time with her family, barbequing at her parents’ house. Also, she loves to read books to her four-year-old niece.
