Marco Ramirez Vasquez

Marco Vasquez was born in Southern California, but lived in Madera, CA for the majority of his life. Marco enjoys, and is passionate about education. Prior to RCC, Marco has a broad range of experience in education. He recently worked with individuals who transition from jails and prison, and provided a pathway in education of employment. He also worked with at-risk high school students in Madera, CA.

Marco began his higher education journey in Saint Xavier University (SXU) located in Chicago IL, where he received a B.A. in Philosophy with a minor in Psychology. After completing his undergraduate studies, he went back to his home town and attended California State University, Fresno and received his M.A. in Education Administration Leadership with an emphasis in Higher Education Administration Leadership (HEAL). He is passionate about social justice and equitable services to all students in higher education. 

Marco is excited to be paving the path for future students interested in CTE at RCC. As the Transitional Specialist, Marco has the opportunity to promote an alternative route in education and expand the CTE at RCC.

During his spare time Marco likes to take photos of trees during fall and spring. Marco also loves to go to local coffee shops. His favorite movies are Lord of the Rings and The Matrix.
