Sam VenturaDirector of Clubs and Organizations
Sam (Ace) Ventura

Hello my name is Sam Ventura, Director of Clubs and Organizations. Some people know me as “ACE” a nickname I have had for years thanks to my last name and a 90’s movie with Jim Carey. I’m currently working towards completing classes to get into Nursing school. My family means a lot to me, which is why I decided a career change that would allow me to; do something I love (helping others), take care of my family, and still have the ability to spend quality time with them. I am new to the area and attending school here has been a highlight, since moving here from Sacramento CA.  Since I arriving, I have met so many great people and truly enjoy helping make this campus and our time here as students a supportive, and fun place to reach towards our dreams and goals. I am honored to be part of ASG and will do all I can to best serve as the Director of Clubs and Organizations. Feel free to email me if you have questions, or would like to start or join a club:

Director of Activities and EventsRaelynn Minton
RaeLynn Minton

Hello to all, I am RaeLynn Minton and serving as your director of activities and events coordinator for the redwood campus. I have been at RCC since 2016 and I am now a recent Alumna. I graduated in June of 2019 with my AAS in human services and family support services. While attending RCC, I have been active in student government serving as the Diversity Coordinator for the previous 2018/19 academic year. I am continuing to attend RCC for this next academic year, 2019/20.. All while concurrently pursuing my bachelor’s degree online in psychology and sociology. My passion lies in serving others. I would love to help you reach your goals while navigating your college experience. I have always been fond of planning events and decorating as well as several years of experience in this expertise. Which has led me to also achieve a national licensing through one of the few accredited colleges in the nation. New York Institute of Art and Design as a licensed Event Coordinator and Professional Decorator.   When I am not at RCC, I enjoy hosting and planning events for friends and family, maintaining an organized home, crafting, spending time with my boyfriend, my niece and nephews, and exploring the great outdoors in the Pacific Northwest. I am a warm, outgoing person who is happy to best serve you!  Stop by behind the fireplace in the student center and say hi and let me help you plan some events to make your college experience special and fun.

Diversity Coordinatorashley abbott
Ashley Abbott

Greetings from the heart, my name is Ashley Abbott. I started going to RCC in the fall term of 2017. Roughly a year ago I have found myself fortunate to have an enchanting position as Student Senator at the Redwood Campus of Rogue Community College. I am back once again for a full time position as diversity coordinator. I originally went to RCC for Nursing, but recently decided phlebotomy would the best step for my career journey. Before college, I was a student at Hidden Valley and graduated as the class of 2017. Since my change of high school to college after the summer break, the feeling of open arms at the Redwood campus inspired me to become part of the crew who made it feel like home.

If you ever need assistance or recommendations around the college, (or just need a high five) I am always happy to help out. I hope to see you soon, drink plenty of water, and have a good day!

Student Resource CoordinatorLucas Medina
Lucas Medina

Hello, my name is Lucas Medina and I am filling the position of Student Resource Coordinator on the Redwood campus of RCC. I am currently finishing my Business Management and AAOT degrees. I am originally from NYC, but when I moved to Grants Pass with no social network to speak of I had to rely heavily on my ability to connect to resources and people to find my footing. My goal is to bring some of those resources to students who might be in a time of need. As a United States Marine Corps veteran I bring a different point of view, a bit of diversity, and thought process that have a uniqueness that are all my own. I look forward to meeting any and everybody who walks through our doors! If you ever need any assistance, or have some information on a resource that could provide assistance to someone else, please feel free to email me at
