Important Update for Fall Term - Week 1

September 25, 2020

It has been a big challenge for you and for us to start this term. We have a new student information system that is not working as it should, and it has created a long wait as we process financial aid and registration. Thank you for your determination to hang in there and attend college this term. We are working tirelessly to serve every student's needs.

  • You can add or drop a class until 11:59 p.m., Friday, Sept. 25, via the Easy Add/Drop link found in your myRogue portal under Academics.
  • Deadline to pay (or make a down payment) on fall term is Oct. 2 at 11:59 p.m.
  • If you are late paying, there will be no late payment fees or penalties for fall term.
  • The libraries on Redwood and Riverside campuses are open for limited hours this term.
  • Remember, if you visit any RCC campus, face coverings are required (children too). For information about self-screening and all RCC COVID-19 precautions, visit the COVID-19 webpage.

Due to the software failure, we are behind in processing financial aid and it is taking an average of six (6) weeks before we award. We will get to your application. You will see updates in your myRogue account. RCC will not be charging late fees this term, so you will not be penalized if your financial aid is awarded after the payment deadline of Oct. 2.

If you expect to qualify for financial aid, or if you are able to pay in installments, we encourage you to remain enrolled for fall term and we will process your financial aid as soon as we are able. If this delay would cause an undue burden, the deadline to drop without being charged tuition and fees is 11:59 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25. We understand this is a very difficult decision for you and we are truly sorry. But we know we must provide you with the truth so you can make an informed decision.

  • Visit our Virtual Student Center where you will find counseling and other help.
  • You can apply for Emergency Financial and Supplemental Services.
  • Check the Community Resources page to find local agencies that can help you.

Thank you, and have a great fall term.
