myRogue downtime and other important dates

Finals are over, grades are available (check your myRogue account) and it’s time for a nice winter break! Before you go, here are a few important things you should know.

First, RCC is making the transition back to RogueNet (our old system — no more Campus Nexus). This is welcome news for all of us, but to make it happen we will need to shut down the entire student database and transfer all the data. That process will start on Dec. 11 at 12:01 a.m. and complete on Dec. 15 at 8 a.m. You will not have access to myRogue during that time.

Fall term grades are available. You will want to check your grades in myRogue before Dec. 11 at 12:01 a.m. (when the system will go down for the transfer back to RogueNet). Look in Academics > My Grades.

Second, don’t forget winter term now starts on Jan. 11. We extended winter break for one week so we can complete the transition to RogueNet. You will be able to register for classes in myRogue during the break (except during the scheduled downtime Dec. 11-14). If you are unable to register in myRogue, use our manual registration form.

Third, purchasing at the online bookstore will begin after the RogueNet transition, hopefully Dec. 15. This will allow four weeks to order books prior to the beginning of the term.

Fourth, keep in mind that the college is closed Dec. 18-29 and Jan. 1. You will be able to use myRogue, but staff will not be working. Staff will be working Dec. 30-31 and will respond to your emails and messages as soon as we can.

Finally, thank you for your perseverance and hard work in attending RCC in the middle of a pandemic and technical problems. We know this has taken a lot of your energy and we hope you have a safe and restful winter break.
