Sexual Assault Awareness Month - April

We Can Build Safe Online Spaces

Virtual Campus Events, by Julia Fisher, MS, LPC and Nick Walker, MS

we can build safe online spaces illustration of people high-fiving from computer monitorsSexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) is celebrating its 20th anniversary and the theme this year is “We Can Build Safe Online Spaces”, highlighting the need for digital consent, ensuring safe on-line spaces, and promoting intervention when we see harmful content or behaviors online. Visit  National Sexual Violence Resource Center to learn more.

Please join the Counseling Department, which has partnered with ASGRCC for prize giveaways, and the Harassment & Discrimination Response Team at RCC in the sharing of two events, Red My Lips and Denim Day, to bring awareness to SAAM. We are offering virtual events, learning opportunities through videos, and a Men’s Panel to discuss the theme “Consent”.
