Andrew Childress, Disability Services CoordinatorAndrew Childress
Disability Services Coordinator

Andrew joined RCC in 2011 as the Access and Disability Resources (Access) Coordinator.  Andrew has a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from San Diego State University with focuses on understanding individual, social, medical, and legal aspects of disability and accessibility. The Access office at RCC strives to increase awareness and acceptance of those with disabilities in support of RCC's commitment to enhancing each learner's potential and success. Access recognizes disability as an aspect of diversity that is integral to the campus community and society as a whole.  Andrew spends as much time as possible with his wife and their adorable toddler. Hobbies consist of running, cycling, and picking up toys, Cheerio-Os, and whatever else has been used as a test object for the existence of gravity that day.


Kaitlyn Eccleston, Disability Services SpecialistKatilyn Eccleston
Disability Services Specialist

Katilyn was born and raised in Gold Beach, Oregon. She moved to the Rogue Valley to attend college in 2009 at nineteen years old. She attended Rogue Community College from 2009-2011, during that time she worked as a Peer Assistant in the Counseling Department and was the President of the Associated Student Government on the Riverside Campus. After graduation she continued her education at Southern Oregon University where she served on several committees in student life and completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Science in Sociology in 2013. A temporary position opened at RCC in 2014 on the Riverside Campus in the Counseling Department that she took and was hired full-time within 3 months. She moved to the Access and Disability Resources officefor Jackson County (Riverside and Table Rock Campuses) in Fall 2017 and she has worked closely with her co-workers to make RCC accessible for everyone. 


Randi Jiron, Disability Services SpecialistRandi Jiron
Disability Services Specialist

Randi has been working in education for over twenty-five years. She was raised in California before coming to Oregon in the late 80’s to raise her own children. After coming to Rogue Community College (RCC) in 2000, Randi’s first position at RCC was in Adult Basic Education followed by twenty years in Access and Disability Resources office as a Specialist in the Redwood Campus office in Josephine County. Prior to coming to RCC, Randi spent six years as an Instructional Aid for Title 1 for elementary students followed by serving as an Instructional Aid in Special Education for high school students. Randi has had many years of working with all types of technology and holds an MBA degree with a specialty in Technology Management. She works with her colleagues in the Access office to make technology and print materials accessible for the students they serve.


Angela Harelson, Admin AssistantAngela Harelson
Administrative Assistant

Angela Harelson is an import from Samoa that was unboxed in Southern Oregon several decades ago and set free to wander. She was first sighted at RCC in the mid 90’s where she snatched up a GED. Hooked on education, she explored several career paths before collecting an AAOT and an AAS in Human Services. Armed with her degrees and student work experience in the cafeteria, bookstore, counseling and advising and Disability Services, she ventured out into the workforce in 2004 where she worked in advertising by day and did crisis work by night. In 2009, Angela returned to RCC, where she was hired as the administrative assistant in the Access and Disability Resources office.

Angela is excited to support students in obtaining their academic goals in the same way that students, staff, and faculty supported her during her academic endeavors at RCC. Outside the office, Angela is owned by two cats, is a DIY enthusiast, known logophile, solivagant, gamer/geek, and mother of one.
