CARES Act Funding - Report Four
Rogue Community College has signed and returned a certification and agreement to the Department of Education with the assurance that the institution intends to use no less than 50% of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide emergency financial aid grants to students.
- Rogue Community College has received a total of $1,261,641 from the Department of Education pursuant to the institution’s submitted certification and agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.
- The total amount of emergency financial aid grants directly distributed to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act as of December 31, 2020 is $1,121,873. NOTE: This figure will be updated each quarter until funds are expended.
- The estimated total number of RCC students who are eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and thus eligible to receive emergency financial aid grants to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act is currently calculated at 2,534 as of 12/31/2020.
- The total number of RCC students who have received an emergency financial aid grant to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act is 2,534 as of 12/31/2020.
- The initial method/model used by RCC to determine which students receive emergency financial aid grants and how much they would receive under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act is linked here. The College intends to award the remaining $139,768 based upon student requests for emergency funds. This will be on a first come, first served basis.
