The RCC Board of Education is a governance board consisting of seven (7) elected members representing Jackson and Josephine counties from designated zones in the voting districts. Board members serve four-year terms with no restriction on term limits. Two positions up for election this spring have terms that expire in 2021; those seats are currently held by members who were appointed on an interim basis following retirement of the elected officials.

Zones with open seats are as follows:
– Zone #1: 4-year term.
– Zone #2: 2-year term.
– Zone #4: 4-year term.
– Zone #5: 4-year term.
– Zone #6: 2-year term.

The Board is responsible for programs, budgets, policy and college contracts. The college president reports directly to the Board and, through the administrative staff, carries out Board policies at the college. Board representatives cannot have contractual, employment or other financial interest in the College.

Currently, Board meetings are held in the afternoon of the third Tuesday of each month with periodic special meetings. Meeting participation in person is encouraged.
