RCC to Celebrate 48th Commencement June 15

RCC to Celebrate 48th Commencement June 15

The 48th Rogue Community College Commencement will be at the Jackson County Expo at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2019. The GED ceremony will be at 12 p.m.

RCC will confer 559 degrees and 299 certificates. Seventy-two students have earned their GED this year.

For the first time in RCC history, both ceremonies will be streamed live to the world for family and friends who cannot be there. To view the ceremonies online, go to youtube.com/rogueccvideos and, using the magnifying glass in the center of the page, search for "2019 graduation," or follow these direct links:

The Expo amphitheater has ample space for guests, so no tickets will be required for entry. There will be approximately 500 chairs available for guests. There is a lawn seating area, too. Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs (the short "sand chairs") and blankets.

There will be reserved parking and seating for people with disabilities as well as sign language interpreters. Seating is limited and early arrival is encouraged.

New graduates—and alumni—may receive an RCC Alumni license plate cover from the RCC Foundation. Visit the Foundation booth at Commencement.

The RCC chapter of the American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) will hold its annual fundraiser for scholarships at both ceremonies by selling single-rose bouquets and bottled water near the Concert Bowl entrance. Proceeds benefit RCC Foundation scholarships.
