RCC's HR chief selected for national leadership program

Jamee Harrington, Chief Human Resources Officer at Rogue Community College, is one of six human resources professionals nationwide selected by the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) to participate in the 2021-22 Emerging CUPA-HR Leaders program.

"RCC is very proud that our Chief Human Resources Officer, Jamee Harrington, has been selected to participate in this exclusive professional development opportunity," President Cathy Kemper-Pelle said. "This is a national recognition of her commitment to higher education."

The year-long program recognizes higher education HR professionals from across the country who have demonstrated exemplary leadership and initiative and desire to play an active role in advancing the profession. Emerging leaders are nominated by CUPA-HR leadership at the regional and national levels, and are selected based on their knowledge, leadership skills, engagement with the organization and demonstrated willingness to advance higher ed HR.

"I am truly honored to have been chosen to serve as a representative of Oregon, the western region, and community college leadership," Harrington said. "It is critically important to me to engage in leadership development, learn with and from my peers, and ultimately serve others and the higher education HR profession."

CUPA-HR is an association for HR professionals in higher education. The organization is headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee, and serves more than 33,000 HR professionals and other campus leaders at nearly 2,000 member institutions and organizations.
