Show Some Love: Donate Blood at RCC in Grants Pass and Medford

Associated Student Government of Rogue Community College hosts Blood Drive with American Red CrossThe Associated Student Government of Rogue Community College (ASGRCC) is proud to partner with the American Red Cross to host two blood drives, giving us all an opportunity to make a difference.

“The need for blood donors is constant,” stated Christina Martin, American Red Cross Pacific Northwest Blood Services Region Account Manager. “Each day thousands of units are needed to save patients in our hospitals. It’s the blood on the shelves that saves lives in an emergency. Volunteer blood donors are the only ones who can ensure adequate blood supplies.”

We will be working together to give back to our community in a truly life-changing way since each donation we collect can save up to three lives. RCC hopes you will the support the Red Cross at one of these drives:

  • Tuesday, March 6, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on the Riverside Campus, Building G, in the lobby at 117 S. Central Ave., Medford.
  • Wednesday, March 7, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on the Redwood Campus, Student Center at 3345 Redwood Hwy., Grants Pass.

An estimated 38 percent of Americans are eligible to give blood, but of those, less than 10 percent actually donate each year. If you are healthy and eligible, please come out to donate. Most donations take about an hour, so book your appointment, roll up your sleeve, and become a part of the lifesaving mission of the Red Cross and RCC. If you do not know if you are eligible, show up to find out. In addition, if you can’t donate blood, we would love to have you as a volunteer at our drive, you can help many ways.
