New Student Orientation

Please complete the New Student Orientation (NSO) before taking classes.

What is the New Student Orientation (NSO)?
The RCC New Student Orientation is designed to help you explore your new college, meet the instructors and advisors who will help you through the next few years, and make friends! This means you don’t have to arrive already knowing the answers to all your questions as you learn from your NSO what RCC has to offer to make you successful as college student.

What information will I learn in the New Student Orientation?
During the orientation process, you will receive guidance on declaring your major, ways to pay for college, play games, tour your campus, and be introduced to social activities and clubs on campus.

Steps to get started (New Student Checklist)

  1. Complete the online admission application.
  2. Sign up for and take a Placement Assessment, or submit your official college transcripts or SAT scores to RCC Recruitment. More information can be found on the Placement Process page.
  3. Complete the online New Student Orientation
Attend a New Student Orientation (NSO). Please provide your RCC student email address and create a new password to log in to your online orientation. Please remember your password as you may stop in middle of your orientation and return later to complete your orientation by logging back in where you left off.
  4. Register for courses during your specific registration period once all steps above are completed in the myRogue student portal.
