Student Success Program at RCC
RCC's Student Success Program offers support that focuses on eliminating barriers to college

College can be challenging,
we are here to help.

Are you just beginning your college journey? Does the thought of taking math classes make you nervous? Fear not, we are here for you.  Should you decide to join our team, Math Marvels will provide you the assistance needed to build your math muscles, as well as gain the skills necessary to master the college experience.

Personalized Advising

Our program specialist, Travis Toll will provide individualized guidance to program participants that ensures timely progress towards educational goals.

Math Coaches

These certified tutors will provide assistance to program participants along their math journey, as well has helping participants navigate the ins and outs of college life.

ALEKS 360 (Assessment and Learning in Knowledge Spaces)

Access to a web-based assessment and learning system designed to aid in the mastery of math components that will help ensure the successful completion of math courses.


A variety of workshops are offered throughout the school year geared towards helping participants finance their education, connect with resources, and work towards their college and career goals.

Tuition Scholarships

Eligible program participants qualify for a tuition scholarship for summer 2021 enrollment (4 credits).

Program Criteria

This program is for you if you are first generation and/or low income, and need to complete math:

  • Primary parent or guardian has not completed a four-year college degree
  • Low income (i.e. recipient of one or more of the following: Pell Grant, SNAP, TANF, WIC, Free & Reduced Lunch)

Program Requirements

Participants must complete the following requirements during each term, (Fall, Winter, Spring), in order to remain program eligible and to earn our summer tuition scholarship.

  • Enroll in math courses
  • Enroll half-time (minimum of 6 credits)
  • Attend the “onboarding”
  • Meet with the Program Specialist once each term
  • Meet with their assigned Math Coach at least three times each term
  • Successfully complete CG199, Financial Survival for College Students
