I started my career in higher education 15 years ago at Southwestern Oregon Community College in Coos Bay. Here I found my passion for working with TRiO and helping low-income/first-generation students to obtain their college degree. I moved to Southern Oregon and Rogue Community College in January of 2017, where I became the Director of the TRiO ETS and EOC programs in both Jackson and Josephine Counties.
I received my BS in Liberal Studies with a minor in Anthropology/Sociology from Eastern Oregon University. I then went on to achieve my MS in General Psychology from Walden University. Starting out as a TRiO student myself, I believe that anything is possible. You do not have to be at the top of your class in order to go college; you just have to be open to the process and willing to learn.
