Program Timeline

  • Apply for the program

    • When you turn in your completed application, it will be verified to determine that you meet the criteria for being a University Transfer participant
  • Information Session

    • You will either be contacted by email or phone to attend a one-hour Information Session with the director of the program
    • Meet with the University Transfer Director and discuss
      • Program participation
      • Financial literacy and financial aid details
      • Transfer plan
      • University Transfer website and student resources
    • Schedule First Advising appointment
  • First Advising

    • Meet with the Academic Advisor
      • Verify academic need
      • Discuss academic and career goals
      • Fill out forms necessary for the program
      • An Individual Success Plan that contains an Academic Map will be created that aligns your course selections with university requirements for the major you are interested in
      • Review and sign Student Contract
      • Officially become an Active participant.
  • Meet with Academic Advisor

    • Meeting regularly with the University Transfer Academic Advisor and the RCC Faculty Advisor to stay on track and address any concerns is encouraged

    • Complete the FAFSA for the following year starting October 15th insures that you are ready to apply for scholarships, as many scholarships require that your FAFSA has been completed
  • Apply to a University or Universities

    • The application to your chosen university should be submitted 9 months before your intended start date
